This past weekend, a patient climbed over an 8-ft barrier and jumped into the central atrium where I work. Seven floors. The patient was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. Deepest condolences to family and friends.
What a depressing, tragic way to start the week :o(

I guess Christmas is a tough time of year for some people. Were you in the vicinity?
I heard about it after the fact. It was late evening, which is kind of lucky, I guess. During the day the atrium can get pretty crowded.
Makes me look forward to the holidays even more.
The girls are looking forward to your visit--we've been waiting to put up the Christmas tree until you arrive!
